Great Plains Auto Body and its employees frequently donate time and resources to various causes. Owner Joyce Hansen sits on the board of Joseph’s Coat Thrift Store in Blair. Joseph’s Coat Thrift Store makes clothing and household items available to the community at affordable prices. Proceeds from the store are in turn used to stock a food pantry.
This Saturday, staff members at Great Plains Auto Body will volunteer to ready a storage unit to hold the store’s overflow like clothing and other items.
Marketing Manager Larkin Gassman said they will clean and power wash the storage unit and then return to repaint it.
“Helping Joseph’s Coat Thrift Store is just one way we can get our team together and help our community,” Gassman said. “Our staff has volunteered their time to come out and help. D&R, our paint supplier, is donating the paint and needed equipment to get the job done.”
Great Plains Auto Body has always been an active and contributing member of the community. Toy drives, child safety seat events and sponsoring local non-profit organizations are a part of its culture.
“We believe, as a family owned, local business, we should get out and better our cities for our neighbors,” Gassman said.
