Great Plains Auto Body has a long track record of community involvement, so it’s no surprise that they’ve partnered with Progressive Insurance to provide a deserving veteran with a “like-new” vehicle. The Keys to Progress ® program is an annual initiative spearheaded by Progressive Insurance working alongside the National Auto Body Council, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 1-800-Charity Cars and Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW).
Every year, Progressive selects auto body shops to prepare a vehicle for donation to a veteran. They select the auto body shop based on the shop’s standing as a place where customers can expect a quick, efficient turnaround for auto body work. Great Plains Auto Body is pleased to be involved with this important project honoring vets.
The vehicles donated to veterans were involved in collisions and then expertly restored into “like-new” working order. This program is an extension of the NABC Recycled Rides program, which has been donating “recycled” vehicles for several years.
It’s an amazing transformation for a vehicle to go from being wrecked into a fully functioning car available for donation. A donated car can help a veteran’s family immensely, providing transportation and independence.
Great Plains Auto Body is excited to participate in this exciting program. “We fix cars every day but to be able to participate in this program is amazing,” says Larkin Gassman, Marketing Director for Great Plains Auto Body. “We are honored to repair this vehicle for a veteran who sacrificed and served for our country.”
