Great Plains Auto Body for Tiny Bodies!

Did you know four out of five child car seats are installed and/or used incorrectly, according to a national study by the National SAFE KIDS Campaign?

Did you know, in 2014 the requirements regarding latch systems have changed? This change establishes a requirement that the lower anchor weight limits total 65 pounds (child’s weight + car seat’s weight). As a result, every car seat (that has a maximum allowable child weight + seat weight that is greater than 65 lbs.) manufactured after February 27, 2014 will have a label stating the allowable child’s weight for the lower anchors.

Since 2007, we have shaped a commitment to child passenger safety with “Great Plains Auto Body for Tiny Bodies.” We host check events for the metro area in participation with SAFE KIDS Loess Hills, SAFE KIDS Omaha and National Safety Council, Nebraska.

Unfortunately, because of our business we see family automobiles come in after accidents, and have always been concerned for kids and their safety in such situations. “Auto Body for Tiny Bodies” is our way of giving back to the community, and we genuinely encourage the public to learn the approved manner in which to install these important safety devices.

We will be hosting our annual FREE Car Seat Check event Saturday, February 21st from 9-noon at our Grover Street location. 14540 Grover Street off of 145th & Industrial Road.
